Angela Maria Piga (Roma, 1968) è scultrice autodidatta con cittadinanza italiana e svizzera. Si è laureata in Lettere e Filosofia all’Università La Sapienza di Roma con la tesi “Voltaire e la teoria del teatro” (110/110 cum laude). Nel 1997 ha studiato per un anno recitazione al Teatro Agorà di Roma. Durante e dopo gli studi ha lavorato come assistente di galleria d’arte a Roma fino al 2005. Dal 2006 al 2009 è stata autrice e conduttrice di programma radiofonici culturali per Rai International. Nel 2009 si è iscritta all’ordine dei giornalisti pubblicisti. Da quella data ha collaborato con articoli su arte, architetturae cinema per stampa italiana e straniera (Vogue Italia, Il Secolo XIX, Lo Specchio de La Stampa, Il Messaggero, Art Passions, Cahiers du Cinéma). Nel 2015-2016 ha co-curato la mostra di Carol Pilars de Pilar “Portrait / Voice” al Museo Laboratorio della Mente di Roma.  Nel 2017, vivendo a Düsseldorf per due anni, ha iniziato a realizzare sculture in ceramica. Da allora la sua vita è cambiata. Nel 2022 è stata pubblicata la raccolta delle sue poesie nel libro “Easy Writer” (L’Erudita ed.). Vive a Roma.

Angela Maria Piga (Rome, 1968) is a self-taught Italian and Swiss sculptress. She graduated in Literature and Philosophy at La Sapienza University of Rome with the thesis “Voltaire and the Theater’s Theory” (110/110 with honors). In 1997 she studied acting at Agorà Theater in Rome. While (and after) studying she has worked  as an assistant art gallery in Rome. Her first novel “La sindrome di Salomone” was published in 2003. From 2006 to 2009 she has been author and speaker of radio cultural broadcasts for Rai International. In 2009 she has registered with the journalists’ association. Since then she has  contributed to national and international press with articles on art, architecture and cinema (Vogue Italy, Il Secolo XIX, Lo Specchio de La Stampa, Il Messaggero, Art Passions, Cahiers du Cinéma). In 2015-2017 she co-curated the exhibition of Carol Pilars de Pilar “Portrait / Voice” at Museo Laboratorio della Mente of Rome. In 2017, while living in Düsseldorf for two years, she started to make ceramic sculptures. Since then, her life has changed.  In 2022 her poems have been published in the book “Easy Writer” (L’Erudita ed.).  She lives in Rome.
