Angela Maria Piga è scultrice autodidatta nata a Roma nel 1968. Ha nazionalità italiana e svizzera. Si è laureata in Letteratura Francese a La Sapienza di Roma, con la tesi “Voltaire e la teoria del teatro”. Durante gli studi, lavora in una galleria d’arte specializzata in artisti contemporanei del Centro Europa. Dal 2006 al 2009 è stata autrice e conduttrice di programmi radio per Rai International, fino alla chiusura del canale. Dal 2009 al 2016 ha scritto per stampa italiana e straniera di arte, cinema e design (fra cui Casa Vogue, L’Uomo Vogue, Lo Specchio de La Stampa, Art Passions, Fyinpaper.com, Cahiers du Cinéma, Il Secolo XIX, Gente di Fotografia, Domus, Interni, Flash Art). Nel 2003 è stato pubblicato il suo romanzo “La sindrome di Salomone” (Oèdipus ed.), nel 2022 il libro “Easy Writer” con la raccolta delle sue poesie (collana L’Erudita, Giulio Perrone ed.). E’ diventata scultrice avvicinandosi alla ceramica nel 2017, vivendo a Düsseldorf.

Angela Maria Piga is a self-taught sculptress with Italian and Swiss citozenship based in Rome, where she was born in 1968. She got a master in French Literature at La Sapienza University in Rome with the thesis “Voltaire and the Theater’s Theory”. While and after studying, she worked for an art gallery in Rome, focused on Central European contemporary art. From 2006 to 2009, until the channel’s closure, she has been author and host of radio broadcasts for the public network Rai International. In 2009 she became freelance journalist contributing to Italian and foreign press on art, film and design (among which Lo Specchio of La Stampa, Casa Vogue, L’Uomo Vogue, Cahiers du Cinéma, Fyinpaper.com, Art Passions, Il Secolo XIX, Domus, Interni and Flash Art). In 2003 her novel “La sindrome di Salomone” was published by Oèdipus ed. and in 2022 her poems have been published in the book “Easy Writer” by Giulio Perrone ed. (L’Erudita). She became a sculptress approaching ceramic in 2017, while living in Düsseldorf.
